Surfers Walk of Fame Weekend

Hermosa’s rich and legendary surfing culture shines this weekend as the Hermosa Beach Historical Society hosts a kick-off party Friday night for the Surfers Walk of Fame Induction and Spyder Surf Fest. Doors for the evening open at 6 p.m. at the HB Playhouse Theatre, 710 Pier Ave. 2013 Surfers Walk of Fame inductee Mike Doyle will be introduced at 7:30 p.m. followed by a screening of John Florence’s surf film, “Done.” The party will give attendees a chance to mingle with notable surfers, enjoy a silent auction courtesy of Spyder Surfboards, enjoy live music from Bullys & Matadors on the patio and see local art displays and a surf museum exhibit. Food and drink will be available for purchase. An after-party in the museum will begin at 9 p.m.
