Leadership Manhattan Beach Info Night

Want to learn more about the Leadership Manhattan Beach program? Attend their information night Tuesday, March 26, at 7 p.m. in the Manhattan Beach City Council Chambers. The nine-month leadership training program introduces its members to various community services and programs as you work collaboratively with your 25 to 30 classmates, that may consist of adults and high school students. Each “class” tackles a project they come up with together, using the skills taught in the class. The emphasis is on results and teamwork. The capstone to the class experience is the class project: doing something real to benefit the Manhattan Beach community. Since beginning in 1992, the leadership training program has graduated close to 400 community members, including commission members, service organization officers, city council members and even city mayors.
